SoFlo Feelin'

So I haven't done a blog post in a hot minute. ( Sorry guys) I Recently moved all the way from Arkansas to South Florida.
Something I've been planning and wanting to do for a long time.
People may think I'm having the time of my life ( aka the fun beach and food posts etc.)
but DUN DUN...  it's not all fun and games.

I've been sitting here staring at my computer screen trying to figure out what to write my first post about since living in good ol' South Florida.
Do I write about my experience so far?
These rad red frames I recently picked up?
Or do I write about my first thrift purchase?
Then I decided, Why limit myself?
I'm going to write about all 3, So fasten your seat belts peeps.
I haven't had the easiest transition so far but it's getting easier as each day passes. for one, I don't have a place to live yet, I've been staying with Danny and his grandma. ( He moved too!) Which is nice because I am surrounded by familiar faces, and I'm never hungry thanks to grandmas cooking! but not having your own space to vibe out and fully be yourself can take a toll on you real quick.
Finding an apartment has been SO HARD OMG !
Is it in a good area? Can I afford it? How far is it from work? etc. etc.
I do everything on my own, *shoutout girl power* and I'm living on my own so a good combo of all 3 is super important to me.
I think I've researched every apartment in SoFlo so far. I've read every review on every website to ever exist.
It's been exhausting.
(UPDATE! While typing this I get a call saying I was approved for an apt. and I move in next week! HOLLA!)
I transferred jobs so you'd think that would be super easy to go into as well. NO.
It's the same job but completely different, it's def been a challenge adjusting. Nothing I can't handle though. Again * shoutout girl power*
And then I've had injuries and deaths of people I'm super close to in my family within the first couple weeks of being here.
LIKE WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!
In the midst of it all though I definitely feel like I made the right decision. Nothing worth doing or having is going to be easy at first and I know through all of this I'm going to come out way stronger and smarter. I moved for growth, and with growth comes growing pains.
I'm already learning so much about myself and the world around me.
There's more out there than you know, so if you're wanting to get out of your current surrounding, My advice is to take your time, plan carefully and you can do anything you put your mind to.
Like my dad has always said "If there's a will there's a way".
I'm super thankful for Danny and his family which have been super supportive and helpful the whole way. And Although it hasn't been the easiest transition I do live in the Sunshine state so it definitely has its perks. It's always warm here which is so nice because I can't do cold weather. The beach is basically my backyard and if you know me, that is enough to make me happy.
Another positive is the shopping.. which brings me to the other subjects.
There's a Free People here!
aka we didn't have one in Arkansas and were limited to online shopping or the random boutiques that decided to carry it. That's where I picked up these super tight red glasses. Yes, my Red obsession still continues. I don't know if will ever go away to be honest, But that's okay with me.
they had several other colors as well if you aren't as into red like myself.
One of  the things I was most excited about moving to SoFlo for is the thrifting.
I haven't been as much as I'd like yet but I did pick up these vintage Ralph Lauren jeans at Goodwill. Suprise ,Suprise I found them in the little boys section as usual. I can't wait to find more cool little spots to thrift. Stay tuned.
All in all I wouldn't change my decision to move, Each day is getting easier and when life gets to me, at least I can hit up the beach!
Follow me on IG if you don't already to keep up with my daily adventures in Sunny South Florida.
